As of June 1, 2024, we have switched the electricity used in our head office building to electricity derived from real renewable energy (Hereinafter, renewable energy power) in accordance with the Renewable Energy ECO Plan provided by Kansai Electric Power Co., Inc. The renewable energy electricity to be introduced this time comes with a non-fossil fuel certificate with tracking information (* 1), and meets the standards of "RE 100" (* 2).
In addition, each company in our group is gradually switching to renewable energy electricity in accordance with the electricity contract of each base, and we expect to reduce approximately 560t-CO2 in total for the bases already switched and those to be switched. Reference Figure(Japanese)。
Our group has set targets to reduce Scope1 and Scope2 emissions by 1,854t-CO2 (21.2%) by 2026 and 3,709t-CO2 (42.4%) by 2030 from the base year of 2022. We will continue to work to achieve these targets.
